The Assembly did pass, and the Governor did sign legislation to allow CWP owners to protect themselves within a public location that serves alcohol.
Restaurant owners may refuse to allow firearms in their establishments, and the CWP carrier may not consume alcohol if they have their firearm.
This is a small but significant step in the direction of the restoration of our 2nd Amendment rights, and I’m glad that this now is the law.
Thank you for your efforts on this important 2nd Amendment restoration in SC. I have the choice now to refuse to do business with establishments that put up proper signage, rather than being excluded from ANY establishment that sells alcohol even though I do not imbibe at all when driving OR carrying.
